History

How a clever idea shaped a world market leader

Jack and Dick DeWitt revolutionised poultry management when they launched the first automatic poultry feeder in 1938. Twenty years later, they hired a farmer from Calveslage named Josef Meerpohl as an agent for Northern Germany – a good decision, as it turned out over the next decades.
