Big Dutchman looks forward to introducing several innovations at this year's SPACE. One of them is the alarm device AC Touch. With the new system extension “Cross-Check” of the AC Touch alarm unit, it is possible to recognize issues within the ventilation system before dangerous situations such as excessive temperatures occur. In addition, the new alarm device AC Touch offers different features, which help to ensure the security in a pig barn. Instead of a key, AC Touch is accessed by means of a fingerprint sensor. This makes sure that changes to settings and acknowledged alarms can be tracked back to the responsible person – a big advantage on farms with several employees. Furthermore, the alarm device is easy to use thanks to a large colour display. Another important feature is the “black box” which cannot be deleted and saves all alarms and activities. Installing technical devices for monitoring and notification purposes is mandatory since management processes such as feed and water supply as well as climate control are getting increasingly sophisticated. In modern pig farming computerised livestock management has become the rule with hardly any exceptions to it. Simultaneously, barn and flock sizes have been constantly on the rise. Therefore, farmers must be put in a position to exercise constant control in order to react instantly in case of problems, thus avoiding heavy losses. Hall 7 Stand A 08
