Five in one go: for EuroTier 2024, Big Dutchman presents a ground-breaking innovation that revolutionises the vaccination ofpullets and laying hens. The semi-automatic, mobile device is the first vaccinator that is able to administer four precise breast injections and one wing injection simultaneously in a single operation. MultiVacc sets new standards in terms of ergonomic design, precision, safety and high throughput. Stress for the birds and the workload of the vaccinating staff are both reduced significantly. The innovation received an Innovation Award in silver.
EuroTier 2024: Big Dutchman innovation administers five injections at the same time
Effective and welfare friendly poultry vaccination with MultiVacc
The innovative design with a maximum of four simultaneously working breast injectors and an additional wing injector optimises the vaccination process and minimises stress for the birds. Moreover, MultiVacc is very easy to use. All settings can be configured comfortably on the tablet or smartphone and be transferred to the vaccinator. This reduces sources of error and ensures a consistently high vaccination quality.
A central control unit monitors the entire vaccination process, guarantees that the vaccine is always dosed correctly and documents the workflow – including the number of vaccinated birds, vaccine bottle changes and any errors.
MultiVacc is an important improvement on existing vaccinators, which can administer no more than two breast injections at once. Due to the innovative combination of breast and wing injections and the ability to minimise sources of error, MultiVacc helps to increase efficiency and reduce risks on poultry farms. Using MultiVacc reduces the staff’s workload, improves vaccination quality and significantly lowers the stress level for the birds: a major step forward in poultry vaccination.
