Big Dutchman’s new battery box has a high charging and discharging power. Any surplus electricity generated during sunny periods is stored and can be fed back to the farm consumers at a later time. Load peaks are also easily prevented. In summary, this means that depending on the location, livestock producers can cover up to 80 percent of their farms’ energy demand, reducing energy costs significantly and sustainably. SunBox comes with an intrinsically safe battery chemistry. The robust LFP cells are very durable and do not contain any rare earths. A clever cell management according to individual cell charges ensures that charging and capacity tolerances can be balanced even under the highest loads. Due to the open design, every assembly group is easily accessible for service.
