Smarter management of pigs and poultry

Egg producers should be excited: with the Natura Step XL and Natura Nova Barn aviaries, poultry equipment supplier Big Dutchman shows two systems that successfully combine profitability with animal welfare in France. Another highlight is the trendsetting BFN Fusion cloud solution, developed for the smart management of individual houses or even entire farms at one or multiple locations. Visitors can also view the Earny 2 S heat exchanger and the battery storage system SunBox. Both systems help poultry farmers to reduce operating costs.

More comfort for sows, less work for sow managers: at the trade fair in France, Big Dutchman presents two innovative housing systems for modern sow management. 

• Under the name Agilo, Big Dutchman sells three new group housing systems for lactating sows. One of them is the Agilo FB concept, where the sow opens and closes the farrowing pen independently. The sow can thus eat or relax without being disturbed, and leave the retreat on her own whenever she wants.
• The ActiWel variable-restraint pen makes it possible to keep the farrowing frame closed during farrowing and for the first days of the piglets’ life.

Also on display at the Big Dutchman stand: 

• 310pro controller – state-of-the-art house control system that successfully manages both the house climate and production; 
• DryRapid feeding system; 
• equipment for the production of feed mixes – two hammer mills with a power of 15 kW and 22 kW, respectively | DustBuster filter to reduce moisture and dust in milling plants
