Anne and Dirk Sandering from the Hemsloh municipality in Northern Germany show how modern pig finishing works: In their new pig house for 2,400 animals, they use the innovative Xaletto straw bedding concept from Big Dutchman, which perfectly combines profitability and animal welfare. The pigs are kept on straw at all times. Manure is only removed once the pigs have been moved out. The highlight of the concept is the lack of concrete slats and slurry pit.
