Visitors of EuroTier 2004 will be surprised: Big Dutchman will present more than 50 (!) innovations in Hanover. The independent DLG Innovations Committee awarded three innovations with its coveted Silver Medal. Highlights for pig producers are innovations such as the SowComfort-plastic grids with integrated non-slip rubber mat, the new Guide Vane BD-650 for an increased working range of exhaust air chimneys, and the new freely suspended agitator for liquid feeding systems and fermenters.
In the area of exhaust air cleaning, Big Dutchman presents several innovations: XAir P1 is the first liquid additive worldwide that can be used as an effective in-house odour-neutralising agent. Even small quantities render an expensive bio filter superfluous.
Presentations from the Poultry Department focus on alternative layer management, a new feed pan for broiler breeders, as well as climate, energy and environmental technology.
For the first time on display is AMACS-Broiler. This newly developed system allows for permanent real-time data recording, control and monitoring of broiler farms from any location worldwide.
StuffNix, the first mechanical dust filter for an effective and cost-efficient reduction of particle emissions from poultry houses, is another highlight. The innovative principle of action is very simple but incredibly effective. This is also confirmed by the recent issue of licences for houses based on measurements of the University of Bonn, which have determined a cleaning performance of the filter of 70%.
Big Dutchman furthermore introduces INCAS, a new mobile animal scale and the first system worldwide designed as a perch. Thus, for the first time ever, long-term measurements can be carried out at different locations throughout the whole house.
