Bigger than ever and earlier in the year than its previous editions, the major international Feed to Food trade fair platform VIV China returned to Beijing in September where it formed an important part of a week full of activities and information for professionals from the global animal protein industries.
Big Dutchman (BD) China, the leading innovator and service provider for poultry, egg production and pig equipment and services, participated at 2016 VIV this year with a customer focused booth. Well over 1000 VIV participants stopped by their booth, marking a great success for the BD team.
VIV China 2016 took place at the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) in the Shunyi district of Beijing, close to Beijing’s international airport. The show opened on Tuesday 6th September and ran until Thursday 8th September.
2016 VIV show attracted over 25,000 visitors and 550 exhibitors from 27 countries to China’s capital city. The 2016 show was the biggest show yet in the biennial series dating from 2000. It now needed three halls instead of two at Beijing's New China International Exhibition Center in order to accommodate more exhibitors with bigger booths.
Poultry production equipment highlights
Show highlights were the wide spectrum of feed manufacturing technology, egg production equipment and cages, ventilation systems, poultry equipment and other technology for modern agriculture reflecting current livestock management trends in China.Similar to what was shown at the 2016 CAHE show in Shenyang, some of the highlights at Big Dutchman’s booth were fun, interactive tools such as touch screens to highlight BD products, farm references and equipment. Others included poultry house management tools, such as Viper Touch controllers, CT2 Touch, AC Touch, AMACS, and the Big FarmNet desktop management tool. Another highlight from the booth was the Natura Cage-free laying system wall which included videos and information about this new concept. Cage-free laying is a new and innovating concept that will have a strong impact in global markets. Big Dutchman is and hopes to continue to be a leader in this new concept.
At this event, Big Dutchman was able to bring professional and technical team members to interact with booth participants and customers at the large, open and welcoming booth to encourage business discussion and relationship building within the industry.
