At EuroTier 2002, taking place in Hanover (Germany) from 12th until 15th of November, Big Dutchman will present the first management and control system for modern poultry management. Its software is based on current browser and web technology. The "Agro Management and Control System", called AMACS, now offers a great variety of new possibilities, thus making the so-called "transparent production" possible.
AMACS consists of modular hardware and software components and allows permanent data collection, control and monitoring of layer farms in real time from virtually any location in the world. This applies to both alternative and traditional layer farms with one or more houses.
No matter whether AMACS is used to collect and analyse measuring and production data or graphically to visualize the results or to transmit webcam pictures directly from the house, AMACS allows reliable and continuous checks and control.
Thanks to open interfaces all data can automatically be retrieved into existing databases, Intranet or web applications for further processing.
It goes without saying that status or alarm messages via
e-mail or SMS to a mobile phone are also included in the performance range of this new system. In this way it could be possible to automatically request feed from a feed mill – in plenty of time before the silo is empty.
